 California Community Colleges Chancellor Jack Scott today announced that enrollment for the 2008/09 academic year increased by more than 135,000 students at the system’s 110 colleges, based on newly collected data.

The Network of California Community College Foundations (NCCCF) supports transparency in foundation operations but has concerns about the fiscal and operational impact of this bill.

Every nonprofit is concerned about the economy's impact on fundraising efforts. There's no doubt that you'll need to work harder than ever to cultivate strong relationships with your constituents if you're going to compete effectively for donor dollars.

Against this challenging economic backdrop, 53% of surveyed companies increased their giving from 2007 to 2008 (off only slightly from the 56% that increased giving from 2006 to 2007). Within this group, 27% of companies raised their year-over-year giving by an impressive 10% or more, recognizing the long-run importance of supporting their community partners.
